National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is September 30

This day honours the lost children and Survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process. Plan to observe, learn and take part in National Day for Truth and Reconciliation at various events and activities taking place throughout the Biosphere.

RMA Rural Municipalities of Alberta also offers municipalities Ideas for Recognizing September 30: The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
